I have a case I'm working one similar in size and shape, don't think mine will look as nice when I get around to finishing it.
I like the use of the magnets to hold the side on, I may have to steal that idea

If you hadn't mentioned it was homemade, I would of thought it was OEM... expensive OEM. Really nice clean look. Another 'less is best' approach.

Yes, I used polished steel plate INOX.
Wooden construction - is nut-tree, painted oil varnish.

My friend's grandfather broke some branches climbing a tree.

He slipped.

He fell.

He caught the broken off end of a branch on the way down...not with his hands.

Laying on the ground, he was missing some parts.

Perhaps this wood from that legendary 'nut-tree' ???
