Lite On 812s, can be modded??

I would like to know whether my LiteOn812s can be modded into a DL DVD burner??

I have had one reader email me saying that he followed our instructions and had no problems... So it sounds like the answer is yes, but we have not tested that.
Let us know what you decide to do and if it was successful or not.
