Seen things like this on xtremesystems (or something), still mighty cool though ;)

Looks a mes till you realise how neat it looks in his box.

I bet that AC unit exhausts a lot of hot air right into his office. Seems like a lot of hassle for what it is worth.

Looks cool but my better half would have me for dinner if I started into doing that. I have thought about putting a radiator into the water loop and shoving it into a 4 can refrigerator I have. Then the words "Better Half and Condensation" registered and I put the mini fridge back on the shelf.

lol. In seriousness though, you wouldn't have seen any benefit from having a radiator in a fridge, think how long it takes to actually cool down the cans, now think how long the water stays in the radiator in the fridge. Yeah, it's nowhere near long enough.

Someone tried that idea, well a better variation of in here.

I think the reason this AC version worked and honkuses didn't is because honkus was only trying to cool the radiator while this guy cooled the entire reservoir. I don't even think he had a radiator in the actual loop, just kept the reservoir really really cold. Maybe Methious could just stick his reservoir in the fridge till it is nice and cold then he's ready to go (well, still needs to worry about condensation...)!

The reason Honkus' (and Methious' similar idea) won't work anywhere near as good as this one, is the lack of cooling power offered by a minifridge. The aircon unit has a huge compressor system and can cool the whole room fairly quick (so lots of watts of cooling power), where as a minifridge will only cool what's in the fridge fairly slow. Think phase change compressor (basically what the aircon is), vs pathetic 50w peltier :P
