HELP -- Enermax Chakra Huge 25cm Fan not Working!

Post by GamingDaemon »

I just built a new rig with the Enermax Chakra case, the one with the huge 250mm fan, only it won't work. Has this happened to anyone else before? Any solutions?

Thanks in advance...

check the back of the fan to see if the wires are actally attached... I just got a case the other day with a 250mm fan and one of the fan power wires were not attached and I had to re-solder them myself.

I did have to peel up the sticker on the back to see the problem though...

Worth a shot

I just got one myself and everything seems to be in working order so far. Huge case with tons of room inside for thos overly large video cards.

If it has an adjustable speed thing on it (mine has) see if you can bypass the varible resitor to see if that will get it working.

Will do. And I will check out the resistor idea too.

Right now, I have overclocked the CPU to 333FSB, with the memory set to 250MHz, 4:3, 5-5-5-12-17. The core temps are 32C and 31C idle and around 45C under load (Supreme Commander). So the CPU is good, not sure about the 8800GTX though.

All this without the big fan...

I didn't cut the wires leading to the in/off/out switch. The sodlering looks good there. I couldn't see if the soldering was bad for the red and black wires for the fan power, but something is wrong. I am using a spare 4pin power connector from the cable that is powering my DVD burner. Nada.

Maybe they can jsut send me a new side panel?
