Micro ATX help

Post by Merlin »

Was thinking of doing a micro build but know nothing about it. Do Micro boards use all the same stuff...CPU, Video,Memory or are they different? also IF they can use the same Vid etc. do I need any special adaptors or can I buy a micro ATX case and MOBO and just move my current stuff over?

are you wanting a mATX mini tower or a slim case?

I use a COOLER MASTER Centurion 541 I like it a lot. uses all standard stuff just on a mATX board.

Now if you want a slim case, thats where riser cards or half height cards, special PSU's come into play.

If you're into going to LanParties and the like, these from TT are really pretty nice...............

Here are a couple shots of my setup so you can get a feel for the space available.

Overall of the case, yes I know my case is a mess  , saving up for a modular PSU so I can manage the cabling a little better.

This is why I'm not using the lower drive cage that comes in the case, its rather close to the ram. If I get to the point of needing to use it I figure out a way to mount it somewhere else..
