Corsair TX750W
Based on the recent reviews on Jonny Guru's site and at HardOCP, I'm thinking about getting this psu for my main rig, and putting the 620 into my file server/htpc. Thoughts?

Re: Corsair TX750W
I played around with some while I was at Corsair last month and they seemed to be of good quality. I got to see the guts as it was still under lab testing back then as each one was fully tested in the first batch as they want to make sure they are made correctly. They aren't Seasonic made, but Corsair says the quality on the TX is just as good as the HX or VX.

The only "issue" I have with it is it's noisier than the others.

yeah, but remember more heat (more watts) means it needs better cooling and that means more RPM's, so it's not a bad sign.kenc51 wrote:The only "issue" I have with it is it's noisier than the others.

True! But I hate noise, I'm like you and leave the PC on 24/7.Apoptosis wrote:yeah, but remember more heat (more watts) means it needs better cooling and that means more RPM's, so it's not a bad sign.kenc51 wrote:The only "issue" I have with it is it's noisier than the others.
I wasn't trying to say it wasn't a quality PSU, just pointing out it's only "flaw"
The Seasonic M12 750W is another alternative, it's very quiet but pricey!

750W, jesus why would you need so much power. I haven't been to Jonny's site in a while, I'll have to do some reading

Re: Corsair TX750W
Well, noise isn't an issue, as I already have two loud 120 fans (they push a lot of air) and I'll be adding three more with water cooling. And I sleep with it on, too. Nah, noise doesn't bother me.
And what will I power with it? Well, maybe dual Barcelona's, if Asus ever provides a bios that lets them work. It's only a matter of time for it, though, as regular Opterons already work in it!

Re: Corsair TX750W
Nice little unit, I'd be happy with it. Another nice review by Jonny's site again

Re: Corsair TX750W
I would be more than happy with it, but I would never need it. The 520hx or 620hx would be sufficient to power any system that I could afford to build.dicecca112 wrote:Nice little unit, I'd be happy with it. Another nice review by Jonny's site again

And yes, another excellent review!
