TEMPS

X1900XTX
Stock cooler
96C under load
~56C Idle

Watercooled
43C load - stock (650/775)
38C Idle

CPU
Before adding the gfx to the loop
39C Load* -> way too high!
33C Idle
With gfx in loop
48C under load*
38C idle

Load = Orthos on both CPU cores & 3DMark '06 "Deep Freeze" HDR test looping @ high res & aa/af for 45mins
Idle is ~45mins on desktop (while I had my spaghetti bolognese for dinner :))

I'm going to see how far I can push it now Image

* I need to clean out this cpu block, it's got pins like the swiftech blocks, except they are more prone to blockages, only I've lost the alan key (hex key) to open it

go ken, hope your having fun. Was dissapointing to find that I couldn't OC my GPU without it artifacting, so glad your having a good run with your new waterblock.

Thanks mate! But don't expect miracles, these cards are known to be poor overclockers!
I've spent about ~6hrs already trying to overclock this card, I can't push the memory much further than 830MHz...... ](*,)
I still have to play around with the various memory voltages, so far I know increasing the vmem to 2.1v only allows me to hit 800MHz. I'm now testing with 1.9v.
The GPU is no problem, but I need more mem speed. Anything over 710MHz GPU gives me little gains unless I can raise the memory too.

:edit:
1.9v vmem won't even allow me to run stock

This is my max!

GPU - 745MHz (650 default) 1.55v
MEM - 846MHz (775 default) vmem 2.15v IO voltage 2.1v

Default 3Dmark '06 ~5900pts
Overclocked 6697pts

Almost +100MHz on the GPU 8)
The memory is definitely holding me back.

I think you have me fairly beat in 06, I could only muster 5708, but who knows I might be able to overtake you.

Yeah how I got 5708 I have no idea. I try to set the ram to anything better than 840, and I get artifacts. I think I'm finally hitting a wall on this card

Mod the bios for more (gpu) voltage? Or can you do that anymore with nVidia?

I tried it one time with my 7900GT and it didn't seem to work, or help out anyway, so I flashed the card back to stock bios.
