best case option around 100$

Post by bublic »

Just wanted to know what would be the best option for a case that would cost no more than 100$ without psu. I need really good airflow and it should look good and be quiet also. I was looking at the aeroengine II, what do you guys think?

Thanks

I've got the Raidmax Katana, which has plenty of airflow and is a decent case imo but it's got some sharp corners on the outside so be ready to hit it with some sandpaper...

thats a good price for most cases, if you were searching ot save money though, I really like my ultra wizard lol. It's dirt cheap but solid and good air.

One case you might want to consider would be the PC-A05 or PC-A05B by Lian Li. Very good air flow (can be great with minor modifications) and can be very quiet depending on the fans selected. Plenty of room for an 8800GTX or 2900XT and a Tuniq Tower or Ultra 120 Extreme.

Good luck.

I still stick by the Anec Nine Hundred I got for a build a couple weeks ago! Someone said it was ugly :p

I thought the cooling was set up great! I added the full compliment of 120mm fans I could and it was running really good.

$129.99 right now - $10 drop from 5/14 already, and free shipping to boot ;)

Same concern as others about the top fan grill - it does have some opening that something smaller could drop in and casue problems, but if you do not use it as a resting place for items, I think you should be fine.
