HSF Question - TR XP120 -> Ultra-90 Worth It?

Title says it all. I have a Thermalright XP120 and was wondering if updating to a tower cooler (specifically a Ultra-90) is worth it? I don't have any money to upgrade my system so it would just be going on a S939 machine. I have looked at a lot of Ultra-90 reviews with the hope that a XP120 was included but I can't find anything. If it is worth switching to a tower cooler would I be better off looking at like a Scythe Mine or Ninja since it includes all the socket retention hardware for when I eventually upgrade to an Intel CPU?

Unless you're not happy with the one you have I'd hold off till you get your new system. Ya never something better could come out between now and the time you upgrade or the price could drop.

Well from what I've seen/interpreted tower coolers are more efficient than a downward faced cooler. My Opteron wil POST at 3.0Ghz but will not boot Windows. I was hoping that maybe if I could bring the load temps down a bit then I could reach that magical 3.0Ghz. At a local retailer they have the Ultra-90 for $24 so it isn't breaking the bank and newegg has all Scythe HSF's on sale.
