hey,

was wandering what the quietest fan is. i am building a MM CYO Duality case and it has 6 180mm and 8 80mm fans so i need quiet more than air flow.

im going to make one of the mobo's water cooled to so any advice on that would be great also. i was thinking swiftech.

Thought the Duality had 120's...

I know that alot of the water cooling folks use Yate Loon fans, might look at the Noctua NF-P12 fans they are dead silent.

If price is no issue I am having WONDERFUL success with the Noctua NF-P12 fans. They are extremely quiet and push a lot of air. I have a bunch in my case and on my RAD and I couldn't be happier. It isn't the MOST powerful fan but for noise/performance ratio its a champ.

Yate-Loons for price/performance of any of their OEM brothers.............

I would go with something in the 1200 RPM range if you're looking for extreme silence.

Ditto, The Yate Loon and Scythe branded fans offer a performance vs. cost. I would recommend something from Noctua but their fans are too rich my for blood.

the scythes that i posted actually perform better than the noctuas. plus they are black instead of beige/brown

Are they quieter though?
