I have had an Intel Q6600 (B3 stepping) processor for about a year now. I have just recently changed motherboards from an EVGA 680i to an EVGA 780i, and I am currently using Windows XP.
I have my processor overclocked to 2.9 ghz, using a voltage of 1.27.
PC Wizard shows the idle CPU in the low 40's (celcius).
BIOS shows the idle CPU in the high 50's (celcius).
Speedfan shows the idle CPU in the low 40's, however, all four core temperatures are in the mid 50's to low 60's.
Should I worry about the individual core temperatures? Or just the overall CPU temperature??
My HSF is the Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro.

Re: Speedfan Temperature Help
Try coretemp. It is one of the 2 "reliable" tool . The another is Realtemp, but coretemp seems better for 65nm cpus while realtemp works better on 55nm cpus.
