10$ for a small piece of leftover aluminium... Meh. I'll probably end up buying one though, thanks for the link ;)

yea i saw that a few weeks ago..was out of stock then..(didnt check link lol) I'm only getting it once i upgrade since I only got to use my 9500 once before either something on the 775 bracket stripped or one of the screws did..makes me happy that i dont have to spend another $40-70 on a cooler lol..

Hoping for the same thing for my Tuniq Tower 120... for the off chance that I get to build an i7 machine in the near future.

There are i7 MoBo's out there that have the option of using either your old 775 heat sink or upgrading to one special for the i7...............

Interesting idea, would save on having to have a whole new mounting system. I would think that it would make the board a little week in that area though.

Only difference between a stock cooler for the Q6600 and the i7-920 is the diameter of the fins, the copper core is the same size.

There are nemerous coolers for the 775 socket that are capable of running on 1366 with new mounting hardware, thus the retro fit kits.

Think your going to be SOL, from what I have seen on others asking the same question Tuniq is not making a bracket for it.

This is why I always use a back plate method of mounting, just to be on the safe side of things ..............
