Will this PSU work?

I am slowly gathering the parts to build a HTPC for my living room TV. I have this PSU not being used OCZ StealthXStream OCZ500SXS 500W

I was thinking about picking up this Evga 9800 GTX 1GB card..
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130429

it looks like it needs a PSU with 24amps on the 12v rail, from what I can see this PSU only packs 18amps. Can someone confirm if I am reading these right?

I need a card that can run games and movies nicely on a 55' TV. I am guessing 1680x1050. I have a 8800gts 512mb in my current computer, i might just upgrade that card and use the 8800gts in the HTPC- but that would require me to also upgrade my PSU. So i am not sure i want to spend more than i need to.. any suggestions?

It's got two 18A rails, and the 24A recommended spec is for the whole system.

So with the load balanced out across both rails (which it will be due to how the 12v cables are split up) it'll be fine.

It'll work fine. I currently have one in my sister's AMD rig with a X850XT and it's been great. My StealthStream also came with the 6+2 PCI-E connector.
