On July 25th ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS), sent out a press release (
Located Here) that introduced SilentCool Technology, a fan-less, noiseless cooling solution for high-performance graphics cards. The all-new thermal innovation operates at 0db for silent operation and reduces GPU (graphics processing unit) by 40C compared with competing cooling technologies.
Below are the first pictures of the ASUS SilentCool Video Card cooling solution that will be on the market soon. Currently it will only work on their N6600GT card, but more solutions are soon to come out. I have asked about the pricing and am waiting on hearing back from ASUS on the EN6600GT price.

After looking at the HSF I wonder how much that sucker weighs.

seriously. i hope its angular momentum doesn't damage the card if you move the case or something. that thing's massive.

holy mother of God, that thing's huge!! looks like the size of a heater core almost. I would fab. a vent with a 120mm fan as an exhaust to take care of the secondary fin (would more than likely mount it to a rear fan duct). Man, and it's all copper too? what will Asus dream up next, that's all I gotta say

really nothing exzciting or new. Zalman and a few others released very similar products awhile back. i tried one and found it to be crap

I see, so once again active VGA cooling surpasses passive cooling anyday...now that you mention it, what do you think of Zalman's VGA solutions? I'm already set on my CPU solution, which is the XP-120, but the VGA solution still eludes me

I don't like Zalman's cooling solutions at all. while attractive, they are a minimal improvement over stock cooling and definitely not worth the money.

What would you recommend for VGA cooling then? I'm quite ignorant of other manufacturers

What card are you using? I really like Arctic Coolings card solutions, they are very similar to the new coolers on the X8XX line of cards, a two slot coooler, they are about the best on the market.

Doesn't look like that well work in a 2card ARM or sli . It would be tight
