I just rcently had an MCP350 12V DC Pump go out in my water cooling loop and before I threw it away I took some pictures that show off the inside of it. I was curious what the inside of this pump looked like so here you go:

my curiosity is more powerful than any monetary value, like using a dead 3870 X2 as a christmas tree ornament (heatsink/fan removed OF COURSE)

Those pictures have me really stumped. :-k Does the pump cover actually have the Swiftech logo on it?

Back in 2005/2006 Laing issued a statement about FAKE DDC pumps made in china as knock offs. These knockoffs would not hold up to the long life like the Laing DDC pumps are capable of. Also, what is know of the fake DDC pumps is that they actually have less flow. Fake 330 l/hr vs Real Laing 380 l/hr. The Fake impeller is a clone of the vertical eheim 1046, but made out of cheaper materials.

Seems that your pump is a china knock off and fake of the real Laing DDC.

Noticed that someone got a fake pump by that eBay or Craigs list seller out in California.

Here's a picture of the pumps I have in the FS thread.

If been some time since the fake pump issue was brought up. Anyone else find a fake out there?

In the past week, someone told me about a XSPC combo RES/pump deal.
"I have a XSPC pump/res combo, but its some no name pump, who KNOWS how good it is or the specs, its small, and the combo was only $60 or so" I'm awaiting info back on what this mating pump looks like that mounts to the XSPC that the real DDC Laing pumps connect to.
