Possible to turn Power supply on without motherboard?

I just got my new case and powersupply and i wanna connect all the fans and just turn it on to see what they all look like, is it possible to do it without putting all the hardware in it?

yes use a peice of wire or a paper clip and stick them into the green pin and a near by black pin and the power supply will turn on.
