Which cooler should i buy???

I currently ve a 5200+ dual core but m going to buy a new X4 620 or X4 925... so i needed a cooler which can fit into my midtower and also should keep the temps under 60 at 3.6Ghz... and the max i can put for a cooler is 40-50$....

So you are looking for an AMD cooler for a mid-tower case. Can you measure from the motherboard to where the inside of the case door would be, so we can know how tall of a cooler will fit inside? we don't want to suggest one and then it doesn't fit.

Need 158mm for this one. If the case is 7.25 inchs wide, it will probable fit. Without a door fan on the case, anything less nope.

Okay so i calculated th height(i.e, from the processor to the side panel w/o the 80mm fan which i use) which is 165mm and with fan it may be 155 or 160mm
so thats abt it..

i'd say go for artic cooling freezer 64 pro.

I'd recommend the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus. Great cooler and it's very cheap.

dude i can get a HYPER 212 for 30 and the freezer 64 costs 27. and is not as good as the hyper. and i "OLD".

yeah i too think i should go with the 212 or scythe mugen 2 rev. b... which is also very good and cheap :D

the freezer64 is crap, I don't know why its recommended so often.
I'll second the vote for cooler master 212 and add in the Xigmatek HDT-RS1283. Both of those coolers are 159mm though so it may be a close fit with that fan.
If you need something lower profile the coolermaster gemini ii s is under 90mm tall and is close in performance to the best of the tower coolers.

Hmmm i will get the 212 itself as there is a CM dealer near my home
