Lead Reduction

Post by jnanster »

Thanks Apo
Your suggestion to break open my Corsair PSU and remove/shorten leads made a real difference.
Wasn't simple, but I can actually see things now.
This older Corsair 750 comes with TOOO many leads and they are REAL long (that's good and bad)

Wow, big difference. That's why I prefer modular PSU's

Amen on the modular design.
My next PSU will be one for sure.

Nice job uncluttering the wires the way you did..Looks a lot lot better..Did you notice any temp changes as Im sure that gave you a little bit better airflow through the case...

I agree with Joe.....I like the modular units also....

No change in temp,
leads weren't really clogging up the flow,
just got in the way of things
(imagine getting that friggin nVidia 295 brick in and out of the case)
and looked VERY unprofessional (the Antec has a nice window on the side for all to see).

Yes that must of been a Pita as it was covered over by the cables..Looks good now as you can actually see that your running a GTX 295... :drinkers:
