Im looking for a new heatsink/fan combo for my Abit IS 7 processor. Any suggestions? What should I look for to make sure that i get the correct one, so that it mounts on the board correctly? Thanks for the help.

you mean the north bridge? Do you have the crappy thin one or the tall one with the fan mounted sideways?

Im talking about the main processor part, not the north bridge...unless i got something mixed up...
I got a 2.4ghz in there now and bought a 3.4. I just want to make sure that the think is cool enough.

Now that you cleared it up you meant ABIT IS7 Motherboard! You looking for a top notch one or something better than stock?

The new Zalman HSF's are a good choice... they support all cpu's socket 478 and up... they are very quiet when the fan is set to low and still quite quiet on high... the main thing is they have good performance... Just make sure you have enough clearance around your socket as they are BIG - check zalmans site for compatability b4 buying...
