I can't praise the Arctic Cooling range of GFX coolers enough!......They have super performance, easy to install, very quiet and the fans are rated for ~60K hours!
+ they're cheap!
Can't go wrong IMO....

well, the best would be water cooling (efficient and quiet) but a cheap and great working alternative would be e.g:

I think I'd still opt for a Arctic Cooling Silencer, it has to be cheaper and faster to install than any of the mod yourself coolers. And I would bet it cools better also, that's why I put a VGA silencer on my 9500 Pro in place of highly modded OCZ copper socket A cooler. Yes, it's been that many years sence people were doing CPU cooler mods on GPUs.

Is the king of cooling and tuning ATI cards. If you have a question, shoot him a email. He has been at this for a day of 2 now.

Just tell it to startup along with Windows ................
It's in setting, under the pulldown menu, go to startup.

ok cool thanks. I am hoping this HSF will work quite well so i can leave the card @ XT speeds at all times.
