What do you think? I asked him if closing that space between the fan and duct would help or hinder. Someone also mentioned about Dell using this type of setup but with a lot smaller duct for some of its pcs and I remember detaching the damn cpu hood thing was always a pain in the ass!!

I would imagine that would work quite well. The CPU would get it's own fresh, cool supply of air. Pretty sure that's working a treat.

Surprising how much this seems "Old School" to me!
And I stuck with Air Cooling until it was not cost effective anymore!
