Graphics Card RAMsinks

Post by DMB2000uk »

Seen as though the 7900GS doesnt have RAMsinks I would like to get some to aid memory overclock stability.

I really like the look of these:
Tweakmonter RAMsinks
But have also come acrosss the cheaper
Zalman RAMsinks

The tweakmonster's have to be attached via themal adhesive, where as the zalman's come with themal tape.

Will I see any difference with the two? I know its dificult to predict, but was wondering if anyone has used either.
There will be a Zalman Spectrum Fan Card underneath the graphics card to maximise cooling performance.

Thanks for your feedback!

Personally, unless it's Arctic Silver thermal epoxy, I scrap it off.

I would get the Tweakmonsters because they're copper, and can dissipate more. I've never used either, though.

i have the zalmans, they're pretty good, RAM can take quite a beating before it fries so no reason in spending more money. but if ur goin for looks then the tweak ones are nice.

i've taken off the ram sinks and reused the same sticky thermal adhesive from zalman, its pretty good. when u heat it up it comes off and when u reheat it'll stick back on. but its nothing to arctic silver.
