What kind of thermal paste are you guys using? I am thinking of PCM+. Anyone have any experience with this?

I've used PCM+ and it is some good stuff. Very easy to clean up and it is not messy.

I tend to use anything I can get on the test bench, but for my personal system I tend to stick with PCM+ and AS3/5

AS Ceramiqe

AS Ceramique is some great stuff, but I don't like it at all when I go to remove a heat sink or water block. 99.9% of the time that I use Ceramique it pulls the CPU out of the socket (yes, with the lever closed). It never really bothered me, but I bent the pins on my socket 939 3800+ when I was trying to slide it off the water block that it was stuck to.

It is good stuff when you put a sink on and leave it, but when you change it out 20-30 times a week it causes issues...

AS5 here. Lowered my core idle temp by 2*C which is always nice.

I was always chicken to buy AS5 because it viods your warente, but i think im over that now ;)

Why would it void your warranty? Because you aren't using the thermal paste that they give you? Well, what happens if you lose it (such as in my case)?

anything other than the supplied TIM voids your warrenty. But so does overclocking so who care any way.

as long as there is no trace of the thermal compound it doesnt really matter it will be accepted, both amd's and intel's issues at least for vendors/resellers is that the cpu needs to be totally cleaned (especially amd, intel varies) they can get really picky about that sometimes.
