Replacing the Psu maybe???!

so was in my bios the other day when I was doing the ram tests and I don't remember exactly what numbers it said for my +12 rails, but I don't think either one was at or above 12. I think it was 11.5 and 11.75 or something. The real question is how bad is that actually? if the computers been running stable like this? and how pressing will it be since I am ugrading my processor from the 4000+ to fx-60. I saw a decent hiper 480watt psu for 50 dollars or so that had good reviews and was on the list of bare minimum. and saw some good 500's for 70 or so. I'd love some input on how bad it is.

I post this knowingly facing an "I told you so from dicecca" about my rosewill extreme edition psu.

No I told you so, dgood I'm only here to help.

But I have some hope for you. Bios readings and all Software readings are 99.9% of the time completely off. What you need to do is check the rails with a digital multimeter.

Is there anything else accompanying this, like restarts on an OC that was once stable, or random restarts that can't be attributed to anything?

dgood,

I highly suggest buying or borrowing a multimeter to test the rails yourself to see what they are really running. Once you do that you can see if you need to upgrade or not.

ok, no, no stability problems, at all but either way we need another psu probably so I wasn't sure. I was just joking on the I told you so. However, I didn't know that bios readings of the rails were off. thanks for the feedback, as always.
