What is it? It was in my PSU, and I thought something was wrong, then I did a google search, and it looks like it is supposed to be there.

Also, what is PWM temperature? Is that the power supply temperature?

that is a special glue so components wont move and so you wont mess with certain componets.

I was told (not sure if it's right) is that it is to keep things in place. That white stuff is pretty firm (wtf did i just say)...

What did you just say?

PWM are parts of your motherboard, usually the square parts new the cpu socket

They're also inside a PSU too! It's just an abbreviation for a power management circuit. Usually it's just a bunch of mosfets (metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor) and other stuff I don't understand :? ;)
They step up or down voltages and clean up their signal, they are also on your GFX cards etc.
It's really an area on a board made up of a number of parts.

Yes, but it's done using various chips on an area of a board...........your link tells what it does!

:D

The PWM in a power supply essentially regulates the regulators regulating the output voltages. :D

When we say "the PSU's PWM," we're often just talking about an IC.

I know, I know........they're the dreaded, leaking, about to blow, Fuhjyyu capacitors that are the bane of any power supply.

My suggestion....recap the ps or make it a doorstop and get one without those damned pitiful excuses for electronic components.

The picture is not my PSU in particular. It's another Vantec PSU. However, it does appear Vantec uses Fuhjyyu, but so does Antec. I've searched for reviews of this PSU before I got it, and I haven't found one bad one. Although my 12V rail drops below 12.00V
