HighPoint RocketRAID 2640X4 PCI-E SAS Controller
Just installed one of these in a server I built for a collection agency. Used the PCIE x16 slot because there is no need for anything other than onboard graphics for this build. Aside from a bit of confusion in setting up the card's BIOS (due to poorly written documentation and a bit of cerebral flatulence on my part), install was a breeze and all four drives recognized right off the bat. Pretty sweet. Haven't noticed any decline in performance of the 4 150GB Raptors used. Still very fast.
System specs:
Win XP PRO SP3
Antec 300 Case
OCZ 600 Watt PSU
GIGABYTE GA-G31M-S2L
Intel Q6600 (Stock)
4 GB Kingston PC26400 RAM
Samsung SATA 20x DVD R/RW (Connected to Port 1 on mobo)
4 WD 150 GB Raptor HDD
Sony Floppy Drive
HighPoint RocketRAID 2640X4 PCI-E SAS Controller
