anyone looking for PVR card with as good quality as the high priced Hauppuage cards, take a look at the THeatre 550 chipset, I have a Sapphire built one and it rivals the Hauppauge for picture quality for half the price (about 74-80$)

Agreed...

Newer technoloy tough..

Only issue is the pause between switching channels, and Linux support (of course that will soon follow)

true, for that matter outside TV software, BeyondTV supports the card but not well. There most other freewares are yet to support that chipset either. the pause between channels is present on all TV Tuner cards I have ever used.
