also nate, did you have trouble with this top screw getting the cooling back on? because the hole just WOULD NOT line up, i had to force the heatsink type thing connector to the side to get the screw back in

Image

sorry bout the blur, at least my hand is in focus :finga:

im thinkin about modding the cooling cover, paint something on it, maybe "X2" or derivative of that(Project X2; 3870 X2;etc.) Theres plenty'a room for landscaping, plus the cover is scuffed up somehow

well, you have to fool with that screw if you even look at the cores or put thermal compound on, mabie it was factory bent or something, i was far from rough with it

btw, i decided to paint it with "X2" on top of the heatsinks(just paint the cover tho) in white, then some guided white overspray, i'll post pix of that mabie tomorro, i still need to start 8) and need to find some flat white puff-can paint

if you're wondering, that blue is the same color as my case :P

just look at my avatar, the card's blue is slightly LIGHTER than that, it's because the red is so dark it hides it

Future reference, if you paint a white base will let the light color paints stay light and not be affected by the dark color of what ever surface is. Same for for dark colors spray gray/black first.

Looks good :)

To ad to bubba's comment using light color primer (a color close to what you are painting onto the surface) will allow that paint to stick to the surface allot nice and also allow the color to show up allot better. I should also note that their are A LOT of different types of primer but most paint stores or your local ACE hardware can get you the right stuff for any task.
