You may want to put the heat sink on the board before you put it in the case. Looks good so far though!

You might want to move the ram. According to the manual anyways it looks like they want you to use slots 3 and 4 first. I got an AC2 cooler a SATA burner and a terabyte drive. I'm still putting it together cause I have to move one computer out if its case to an older one, then move the current system into it and move the new one into my now main case. Problem? My old main doesn't want to work like it should now and I still haven't got the new system up and running quite yet. I hope to have it all sorted out tonight.

I honestly don't know... They were shipped to me and sat in those cases till I mailed them off to you, so you were the first to fire them up. If they are unlocked then they are Black Editions.

OOOOOOOO that is great news. I'll get to tweaking this weekend. I won't push it too hard though cause I would like to have it folding a long time.

And again personal thanks to everyone that donated and ran the contest and to the anonymous guy who donated the processors.

just thought id let you guys know, i figured out have to get audio out of the HDMI on the palit card. you have to connect the little cable that came with it to the SPDIF_O header on the motherboard, with the red cable to the first pin and the black one to the third pin, then, underneath the little fan shroud thing, theres a jumper you have to move from pins 1 to 2 to 2 to 3. then in download the latest IDT audio drivers from ECS's website and set the out put device to SPDIF (or it may be called digital out put or something) it really irks me that palit included no manual or instructions on how to do this what so ever, neither with the card nor on their website.

THANK YOU!

I found the SPDIF information on my mobo manual but found no info about which wire to connect where. I will have to keep this in mind if I ever get an audio system that has an optical input.

Does it bother you that the optical cable they included is only about 5 inches long?

no, not really. ussually the SPDIF out header is right near the Front panel audio header, so it doesnt need to be that long. and vicaphit: the SPDIF on the card, is believe it or not, an input, not an output

OOOHHH, I get it now, so you can output sound from the computer to the card, then through HDMI... I'm an idiot.

yup from an old review I wrote - The GeForce 9800 GTX also provides native support for HDMI output, using a certified DVI-to-HDMI adaptor in conjunction with the built-in SPDIF audio connector. This solution differs from ATI by the fact is requires an audio connection from the motherboard or sound card to the video card. Both ATI and NVIDIA solutions have the outgoing audio going through the HDMI cable to the TV or receiver, but only NVIDIA needs internal connections to make this happen. Once the audio connection is taken care, all one needs to do is attach the DVI-to-HDMI adaptor to one of two dual-link, HDCP-enabled DVI-I outputs. After the SPDIF audio connection has been made and the adapter is used with an HDMI cable you'll be able to output video on an HDTV.

What is the point of sending audio through HDMI to the TV when TV speakers usualy sound like crap?
