I don't understand it either. It's more likely that people don't really have a grasp how serious copyright issues are. Being an artist myself, it really bothers me how flippant people are of copyright laws.
Just because it's on the internet does not mean that people can do with it what they want. Maybe those people just figured that nobody would notice.

At any rate, I'm glad it's coming to light and that the mods are a least aware of the situation and will take a proactive stance.

*EDIT* - I've re-submitted my design, this is the SECOND TIME. I've improved it and fixed a few things. As I had to flip it around, it got all messed up so I thought I might as well change it. Put a lot of effort into this!

Kind of getting boring to look at the new entries.

Jeesh, people either using material they do not have the rights to or that dragon. Something tells me that if they really wanted to see some creativity with their dragon they could have just copy and pasted it like everyone else.

Not at all, the dragon is the older original design ATI used so most people want to for some reason use it again. This bypasses originality in almost every way.

Well I'm glad somebody agrees with me!! LOL

I'm sure others are thinking the same thing but are afraid to post it, thinking their design won't get chosen. I think all of the ORIGINAL entries are AWESOME!! There is a lot of talent on this board. And for those who aren't so talented, this contest I'm sure, has given them some experience with designing and it was fun for them. It is definitely fun for me!

Well if I lose, I'm hoping that it will be to someone who truly created an original piece. Not some copy-and-paste stuff. It kinda sucks that some people figure they can get by with the least amount of effort, grabbing stuff from other people's hard work and posting it as their own. Meanwhile, there are obvious submissions here that people have truly taken the time to create something original.

It's definitely going to be interesting to see who makes the cut.

Nice. Did you take that picture of the engine in your car? Pretty impressive considering it probably took you half a day to remove that engine from your vehicle.
