ok, i went and got a drink of water, lol

so whats a decent mid range PCIe vid card?

6800GT? 7600GT? 7800GT? hmmm dual 6600GT's?

i'm going to have to do some research on this now.

should i run 1 fast card? no i don't think i can afford that.

i should get one mid range card and then a bit later get another mid range card so that they'll both together be as fast as the one good fast card..... ya, but which ones?

hmmm....

i was thinking maybe one 6800GT, then later get another 6800GT. i'd love to step up to the 7800GT or the 7600GT but i'm pretty sure i can't afford that.

i'm looking around at newegg right now.

i don't have much money to spend and i need a new psu to run this mobo and vid card(s) as my psu was bought back in 2002. so i can't get too overly zealous with my purchasing ideas.

i will post some pix :)

i've been snooping around and it looks like the XFX Geforce 6800GS would be the card i buy for it. two of these and i'd have 24 pixel pipes and 512mb of ram. now to try and figure out how to afford a $200 card and a $100 psu... that'll take time.

Stev
well, first i need a video card and new psu.... that will take a few months to afford, but then i'll throw in my mobile newark that does 3200mhz and see where that goes. i was just reading that the mobo doesn't support DTR mobile chips, but mine is not a DTR, just mobile. so i'll prolly end up buying a 3100+ sempron and running the 9x multi and what ever HT Bus it'll clock up to. so the 6800GS, new psu, and new cpu.... i won't be able to afford that for the better part of this summer as i live on a fixed income of 600/m and rent alone is 470/m

i gota birthday coming up and some friends that like to get me computer stuffs, so maybe i can swing something. hehe

Congrats :) we know you will make the most of it thats for sure.

PCIe cards:
6800GT good price/ good overclocking
X850XT good price/ good overclocking / IMO better IQ

Both are sub $200 now :)
