Seagate buys Maxtor

I love my Seagate HD's and was horrified to hear of this news... until I read that Seagate wil be treating the Maxtor line as their lower end HD's (where they belong). I've owned 2 Maxtor's and both died on me within 6 months... whereas I've never had a Seagate die on me, and I've owned Seagate since the old 6.5GB days

I just hope that no Maxtor components make it into any Seagate branded products...
