Noise from hard drive

I have this nerve-recking noise coming from me pc. It sounds like it might be coming from the hard drive, sounds like it spinning real fast n making this loud noise :-k ...hnnn hnn hnnn nnneee neee lol. Its a new pc but the drive aint, any one have any suggestions on how to fix the prob? Thanx

order a new hard drive today, back up your data today, and get ready to drill a few holes in it to protect your data and toss it in the trash... I also don't advise restarting the computer unless needed as it might not come back.

Any 'funny' noise coming from the hard drive is a sign that something isn't right and 99% of the time a failure is coming. Since we don't have clean rooms we can't take apart a hard drive and fix it, so there is really nothing you can do if it is clicking or clunking on you.

back up your data or copy your important stuff (documents and pictures, etc)

Yep, new drives are realatively cheap compared to the importance of your documents.
