Hello, i have a major problem with my 2nd ide channel. for some reason it detects my dvdrom drive as multiword dma:2 i have a cdwriter set as master and the dvdrom is set as slave. the cdwriter detects as multiword dma:2 which is correct but the dvdrom will only run as either pio mode or as i have already mentioned multiword dma:2 (should be ultradma 5)
also when windows loads the screen goes blank for quite a long time before it gets to the login page and the hard disc light is stays on constantly (even though there is no disc access)
im running windows 2003 server.
any assistance would be most appreciated
