Getting frustrated! I can create a RAID array in windows and have it show as the whole 3tb space using RAID 5, but windows just gives an error when I try to initialize with either MBR or that GUID (spelling)!!! I called Promise adn they said it is a known issue with the card a 4 1tb drives and I should either do a 3 drive raid and use the 4th as a hot spare drive, or else create 2 seperate arrays. I do not believe either one will allow me to go back to the full 4 disk raid 5 array without reformatting the whole darn thing and losing everything..??
I might end up just having to do the RAID 10, but I hate to lose that extra 1tb of space
Does anyone know of a workaround for this problem?
Oh it is the FastTrak TX4310 that Dicecca sent me. Card works GREAT if I can get around this little snafu!!
