[speedfreak]Other than defrag? I have a PATA100 UDMA5 Seagate 'Cuda 7200.7, just seeing if there is any way to make my PC go even faster (I used to be on a 1GHz Dell w/384MB RAM and a PCI Radeon VE, so even as my PC is, it is a huge improvement).[/speedfreak] You can OC your processor...anything for the HDD?

sadly no, short of getting a faster HD like the WD 10krpm Raptor or a Seagate 10k or 15k SCSI disk there is no real way to speed up the HD.

Well, technically, if the HDD was on a USB or firewire setup or a PCI controller card or something then moving it to onboard UATA or SATA could *theoretically* make it "faster"...
