okay, so my secondary drive is a raptor 74GB, and since the last time i installed win7(when i upgraded to an Athlon II) it's been essentially shutting off and spinning up randomly, but i can still always access it, it just has to spin back up if its off when i want to access it. just the noise it makes is really annoying since its a 10k drive

is this a problem with the drive, or a setting in windows? it does it randomly, but generally once or twice per hour it spins or shuts off

all power saving features are off in windows(cuz i run GPU folding, they have to be)

What version of windows are you running?

And you've been in the advanced settings of the maximum performance profile and checked that the hard drive spin down is set to off?
