Looking at the following drives...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 33125-L09D
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820148348
Wanting to drop an SSD into my main rig that is running off a GAx58a-UD3R (SATA 6 controller) and then later dropping it into my Laptop (SATA II controller) once better SATA 6 drives become available.
Any thoughts on which one I should get?

wow, that is a tough choice to be honest.
SandForce SF-1200 versus C300...
I'd go with the C300

What OS are you using? If anything less than Win 7 then the SandForce drives are the way to go. Even without TRIM they stay fast. With SATA 6 and win 7 I'd lean towards the C300 as well depending on the price difference between that and the SandForce drives. Give the OCZ RevoDrive consideration too, it's pretty impressive.

If you are planning on putting it into a sata II laptop later on then id say the SF-1200 based drive. You dont see much of a read improvement with the C300 on Sata 2, and you lose a lot of write performance.
