By an accident I have formatted (quick format) one of my hard drives. 900GB+ of old photos, music, documents etc. Is there any way to bring all back? it only took a second, so it couldn't phisicaly erase all data. Any ideas?! ](*,)

thanks in advance.

what file format was on there? NTFS?

This is pretty slick and saved me one time when I did that - http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-software.htm

This saved my ass - http://www.file-recovery.net/

Biggest thing - do NOT write anything to the drive AND you have to restore to a different location. You can not restore the drive to itself, at least I never found a program that would let you.

Thanks guys. so which one should I use? The file system was NTFS and it was a storage drive, not the primary boot one.

It took 2 seconds to quick format my drive by a mistake and 5 hours to get it all back (seems nothing is missing). I am realy happy and will be extra carefull in the future. Thanks again :supz:

Now back it all up on a physical media. Might not be as lucky next time.

Thanks, hope I never need it but it's good to read about a program that works before you need it.
