i want something quiet and sweet, but not too expensive.

recommendations?

right now, i've got the seagate barracuda st3160023as

and here is some proof:

It leads these six SATA hard drive models and hangs in the middle or top 2 for the majority of the other testing and benchmarks. It's a sweet drive.

you want the KS because its the SATA II version.

the YD is SATA 1.5gb/sec version.
