I'm looking for some advice on how to reinstall a Hard drive non raid in raid system.

I have a new system since January. Bax Axe II MOBO, Seagate Barracuda 320GB, Window XP home, CPu 6600 Core 2 Duo, Plextor DVD 18X, etc. Although the original hard drive is sata, I initially installed it in IDE mode and no raid or raid ready configuration.

To gain speed ???, this week I have installed two new small Raptor 36GB 10000 rpm in sata configuration in port 0 and port 1 and establish a RAID 0 in one volume with two partitions C and E. To do all of this new configuration I did unplugged my old seagate drive.

I reinstalled winodws XP home and I can boot from the new small drives.

I wish to hookup the original drive Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320 GB which was not raid or raid ready and use it. The BIOS sees the drives and Intel matrix Storage Manager Option in ROM also see the third drive in port 2 of the sata but windows wont open and the system loops between the bios and windows screen.

Any advice on how to proceed. I have a lot of data on that seagate and for sure dont want to lose any

I found the solution.

The boot order was starting from my old drive instead of my new raid drives..... It happens sometimes.
