6600GT Sli

Post by kappage »

Just recently ive managed to get a pc setup working that ive had for a while its got an MSI SLI mothboard. I was given it with a 6600GT 128mb. Am i able to set this up into SLI with my old 6600GT 256mb?

I am kinda a noob when it comes to things like SLI

Thanks

now i just need to get an Sli bridge

One question..
The motherboard i am using is a MSi K8n Diamond, do i need to use a SLi bridge i read here
SLI will work with or without the bridge. In fact, I don't even use the bridge on my setup because it creates problems. It's a known issue without a fix.

that i dont need one..

Are there any settings i need to make in the bios? Also i flipped the little SLi controller card from non SLi to Sli

It is my understanding that you need the SLI bridge for them to "act as one card"

The guy who has his working without the bridge just has 2 cards in his system.
