GeForce 7600 graphics problem

Post by Demeter »

Hello,
I've installed a new geforce 7600 on my computer and everything is working fine except that when I play games
(for example Settlers VI, Civilization etc) the textures are messed up, with lines and shadows across the screen. Even with really small games
(like the ones you download) the 3d images are a bit corrupt.

Here is some info about my computer:
Motherboard - ASUSTek - P55800-VM
CPU - INTEL 4 3.06GHz
OS - Windows XP

I've added an image showing how Settlers VI looks on my computer (notice the weird lines...)

Did you try running driver cleaner pro after uninstalling the drivers of your old card?

If not, uninstall the current drivers, then run driver cleaner pro, then install the latest version of the drivers from nvidia's site.

My friend experienced the same thing with textures on his 6800GTX while playing stalker. The problem was overheating, as taking the side of the case off helped, and blowing a fan on the card helped even more. Check the temps if the driver solution doesn't work.
