nVidia GeForce NV50 Video Card (GPU) Rumor Mill

Post by Apoptosis »

Today Digitimes reported that nVidia is in full production of its 90nm GPU series, the G71, G72 and G73 (high-end, mid-range and entry level respectively), for a top to bottom series to compete with the entire ATI X1K GPU family. They also went on to say that the nVidia NV50 will ship in the middle of 2006.

Feel free to post all your NV50 Rumors and Gossip on this thread

ohhhh, ok, my bad, I got the numbers a little screwed, lol

still, I'm liking what I see from Nvidia, though for price right now would be inclined to go with ATI.......the X800GTO sounds solid to me, for now at least 8)

NV50? Didn't we move over to the G7X moniker now? :P

The chips themselves and the drivers don't even use NV anymore, just G7X.

That and... didn't the NV50 get canned?

aaaaaaaah, damn the infernal name game, lol :finga:

still, I'm a cheap bastard and choose to go with the X800GTO for a simple video solution....and oh yes, I am definitely going to attempt the XT PE BIOS flash and unlocking the pipes......muhahaha, victory is mine!!!!!! :axe:

G70 is a codename or chip name, like prescott, or venice. It will not be the final name for the product.
