what make of pc are you using

all you need to do is boot from the windoze cd --> it does everything else!

most of current os's (windows 2k or xp) will be able to format your hd during installation, all you have to do is pop in that CD and boot the system off CD and you can just follow the instruction on the screen to format and install.

FINALLY something that I can provide some technical advice to... :)

Turn on computer and insert CD.

It's really that simple and automatic from there. Be patient, windows will take close to 2 hours to install.

Are you updating a previous version or is this a fresh install?

go into your BIOS and make sure the first boot device is set for your cd-rom

I set mine like this

1. cd-rom
2. Floppy - LOL - ROFL - sorry, I still set this even though I dont have them anymore
3. IDE0 - or sata or wahtever your hard drive is
4. Other USb device

have fun, and dont mess up the bios :p
