Used the NVIDIA- Tune System for the 1st time

Post by Aratae »

I did the Coarse Tune (20 min) with these results:

FSB (CPU Bus) original: 200Mhz current: 218Mhz +9% change

AGP/PCI-E Bus original: 2500Mhz current: 2850Mhz +14% change

so that tweaked my system some and will help performance?

Thx for any insight :)

PCI-E bus at 2Ghz?? Isn't that usually at 100Mhz?

The FSB being higher makes the CPU frequency higher, so yes performance will improve.

i thought PCI was 166, and AGPx8 is 266, so PCIe wouldnt be THAT fast  is that right?

I had tried nTune, but it crashed my system soooo bad, that I had to uninstall the card, use the integrated graphics chipset, un-install the nVida drivers via Safe Mode reboot and start the process of reinstalling the newer card and avoid using the nTune tweak tool.

That was a lot of work to undo for something that should have been easy to try out.

Yes, that is normally a 100Mhz frequency.
