It is one of those super-small difference swaps that really doesnt make any sense to do, unless like i said you need a less power hungry card.

Legit Reviews has finally posted our performance review of the GeForce 8800 GT... sorry it took a bit, but we didn't have a card till Friday afternoon.

Looks like in your review the GT fairly soundly beats the GTS card............it's looking better and better.

i agree, after reading the review today it doesnt seem to make sense to keep the GTS- however I am still not sure how these cards perform head to head on a higher resolution - or bigger monitor? did i miss in the review the size of the monitor that was being used?

i would have like to see the review with a few different settings- 4xAA-16XAA - I can only imagine how long that would take though with all those cards ect..

Hard to do 4xAA and 16xAA when you are getting frame rates this low... World in Conflict on High defaults to 2xAA and 2xAF and as you can see it kills most of the cards. I personally don't see the point in running higher AA and AF when the framerates are already under 50-60FPS... I would never play a game with those setting at such a low framerate. As the framerates go higher, we will of course use higher resolutions. Testing was done on Samsung SyncMaster 204B monitors by the way, which go up to 1600x1200. We have better LCD's here, but didn't use them due to the low frame rates.

The same thing goes for Crysis... With in game settings on high the GeForce 8800GT was just over 30FPS... I didn't see the point in putting the Dell 30" on the test system to run it at 2560 x 1600 pixels as it chugs at 1280x1024. The same goes for AA and AF. Plus like you said there is also the issue with time.
