Temperatures on XFX 8800 GTS 320mb

Post by perryleros »

Hello Guys,

I just worry about my new graphics card because temperatures seem quite high.
Idle temperature is 80C and under load it reaches 88C max.
I' m using a Soprano DX case with 14mm front intake fan and 12mm rear exhaust fan + PSU exhaust fan.ambient room temperature is around 28-30C.

I would like to know if i have to worry about these temperatures.

Thanks,
Perry

No dont worry these cards run HOT i mean REAL HOT!!! :snakeman:

I'm pretty sure its normal for these cards (8800's) cause my case Is A massive One (Thermaltake Armor) with 10 fans to keep it cool (1 x 25cm, 4 x 120mm, 2x 80mm, 3x 40mm)

My 8800GTX ildes at around 78-80 and under load goes up even higher i would presume
My System:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 @ 3.33Ghz (1333fsb 333x10)
Thermaltake BigTyp 120vx CPU cooler
BFG Nforce 680i SLI (p31 bios)
4Gb ram DDR2-1067Mhz Corsair pc8500C5D + Dominator fan
Inno3d 2x 8800GTX SLI (169.12 driver)
2x 250gb HDD (raid 0) + 1 750gb hdd
Antec 1000w psu (with racing stripe) lol
thermaltake Armor full tower
Fusion Dual Digital 4 HDTV tuner
Acer 24" widescreen lcd 1920x1200
Logitech G15 keyboard, LX7 mouse and 5.1 surround speakers
Vista Ultimate 64bit

These cards do run hot and are dependent on case air flow. Try removing your system case cover and see if the temps drop. If so you may want to look into providing better air flow for your system to get lower temps.
