nvidia 8600gt

Post by hercules71185 »

I'm the guy who posted about my motherboard limiting me.
For anyone who wants to know DON'T buy a cheap motherboard its cheap for a reason. My scores should be higher than they are for one but,...
My aquamark score is 100,111 with my set up now.. But, can ANYONE please tell me why my cpu and gfx scores say N/A and not the points I should have. I'm trying to compare my liquid cooled amd 3600 x2 to my friends intel quad core. But, my scores are not showing up..
Just FYI its not seeming to be much slower I have it at 3.6ghz
I didn't know what section to place this under I'm a noob to this site. So if this is the wrong section just let me know where it should go. I'll be happy to keep the forums organized

You took a 2GHz Athlon x2 and overclocked it to 3.6Ghz? Or his C2Q is overclocked to 3.6Ghz?

If it is your athlon, that's quite an achievment. Is it ORTHOS stable?

he is at stock speeds is why we were comparing them. His gets hot really easy. but, mine is from 1.8 to 2.8 sorry 3.6 is my old intel haha I guess that is a big difference. by the way I don't keep it that high all the time because I don't know WAY to much about it but, it just doesn't seem like I'm going to get much life out of my cpu if I keep it like that all the time.. my median I always use is right around 2.3-2.4

That's more of a sensible number for an athlon :P

Under water you shouldn't have any problems at that setting, unless you have to add crazy amounts of voltage to get that high.
