Dual monitors

Post by DL126 »

Does running dual monitors degrade performance?

I figured it would need to split the VRAM between the two so it'd have to have a negative effect.
But so far, I haven't been able to find that written anywhere. ???

I always thought it did especially if ur running it at two different resolutions. Well thats what i found out when i played bf 2 on two diff monitors i noticed a huge drop in performance. But then what do i expect with my 6600GT, Not a whole lot. I would of gotten a new card recently but some bills have come up...

If you are in clone mode, meaning you have the same image displayed on both monitors you will not take a performance hit. If you have a different image or application one each screen then you will.
